Hëna e Plotë Bedër University and Municipality of Elbasan today formalized the mutual cooperation by signing an agreement. This document aims to strengthen and expand the current cooperation between two institutions, specifically in areas of social service, education and culture.
The signing of this agreement was conducted during the visit of one group of Bedër University headed by the rector Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, in Elbasan’s municipality.
During the reception that the head of the municipality, Mr. Qazim Sejdini hereby reserved, both pairs expressed their assessments about this cooperation, emphasizing the benefits of Elbasan citizens.
The head of municipality, Mr.Sejdini after thanking the University for its Willingness, said that this agreement is a positive example of local government cooperation with academic world. He appreciated the fact that besides offering English courses for children of families in need, among other benefits that this document brings is the provision of scholarships in master levels for the municipal staff.
On the other hand, the rector Mr. Gjana said that the signing of this agreement comes from the university mission on social contribution.
The innovations of this first collaboration between local government and an international university, consist in offering English courses for children of families in need, as well as for people with disabilities in the pre-graduate education center of the municipality, Elbasan.
