Social Tolerance Coalition was launched in a ceremony organized in the premises of the Multifunctional Centre "TEN" in Tirana.

This initiative is part of a global initiative against extremism in university level (P2P Project: Challenging Extremism Initiative) that the White House and US State Department in cooperation with “EdVenture Partners” organize. A team of students of Higher Education Institution “Hëna e Plotë”(Bedër) represent Albania in this global initiative. They have organized a campaign under the slogan "Bridges to Tolerance" (Bridges to Tolerance).

130 secondary school students from Tirana, members of school senates, attended the ceremony. The activity opened with the presentation of the project P2P: Challenging Extremism Initiative.

The coordinator of the project, Dr. Erlis Çela focused on the objectives of the initiative undertaken by the team of students of Bedër. He mentioned that Bedër participates for the second time in the "P2P: Challenging Extremism" and that the slogan aims to promote the values of tolerance and understanding. According to Mr. Çela "Social Tolerance Coalition" is designed as a voluntary commitment that aims to bring together young Albanians to present and to promote exactly these values.
