Hëna e Plotë (Bedër) University, graduated its first generation in a ceremony at the Sheraton Hotel. 120 students from 15 different countries of the world completed undergraduate studies, marking an important step in the history of this university.
In this ceremony there were present Minister of Youth and Social Welfare, Erion Veliaj, President of the Constitutional Court, Bashkim Dedja, President of the Islamic Community, Skender Bruçaj, Chairman of the State Committee on Cults Ilir Hoxholli, Tirana Prefect, Sadi Vorpsi, parliamentary members, rectors from different universities of the country, numerous personalities from the academic world, media and business fields.
Rector of Hëna e Plotë (Bedër) University, Professor Ferdinand Gjana in his welcoming speech congratulated the graduates for the success in these three years. He was enthusiastic about the performance considering university graduation ceremony as a milestone in the history of the institution. Professor Gjana also mentioned the challenges and achievements that are waiting students in their professional future. "Although today is not the day of councils, I would say to all graduating students that being humble and patient is the key that opens many gates to your success throughout your life" said Rector of Bedër University. He also thanked supporters of the institution since its establishment until now.
President of the Islamic Community, Skender Brucaj congratulated the students upon graduation and noted that the percieving knowledge is an obligation that one must follow throughout his life.
On his part, Minister of Youth and Social Welfare, Erion Veliaj welcomed all participants, congratulated the graduates and Bedër University about the image it has built.He emphasized that this institution to three years of activity has made many important steps to build a positive image. Mr.Veliaj said the achievements so far made the slogan of the university "in the name of values" not only remain as such, but to be part of the culture that students have taken in this institution.
He encouraged graduate students to always try to be positive in their lives and follow the examples that have inspired mankind.
“Hëna e Plotë” (Bedër) University in the third year of activity marks a tremendous achievement balance, turning in this way the first election of candidates for students. Accredited in all programs of study in the second year of activity and equipped with quality certificate ISO 9001: 2008, the university is already a very good opportunity for all those young people who will choose to form their preparations in social fields, such as communication, law, psychology, education, foreign languages and theology. Young students will find in this university a multicultural environment, with students coming from 15 different countries and academic staff, consisting of professors coming from 8 countries. Consolidation of international profile has been one of the strategic priorities of the “Hëna e Plotë” (Bedër) University .
Scientific research is one of the main pillars of the mission of the university. In 3 years the activity there were organized 10 international scientific conferences, 5 national conferences and a large number of discussion panels. Also there were more than 583 papers presented with 600 referees, from 32 countries around the world, which make an important contribution in the field of scientific research.
