The symposium “The Universal Message of Muhammad pbuh” was organized on occasion of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad pbuh by Bedër University in collaboration with Muslim Community of Albania.
The Muslim Community Chairman Mr. Skënder Bruçaj, the World Dedebaba of Bektashi Dede Edmond Brahimaj and the Rector of Bedër University Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, who participated in this activity that took place at the university hall, also had their greetings on the occasion.
Meanwhile the speakers' panel lead by Mr. Veton Tulla, lector in Islamic Sciences Department of Bedër University, consisted of: Mr. Ali Zaimi, Vice Chairman of Muslim Community of Albania; Mr. Elvis Naçi, Director of the Islamic Call in Muslim Community; Mr. Sabaudin Jashari, Theologian; and Mr. Muhamed Sytari, the Mufti of Shkodra.
Having thanked the organizers and participants in the event in his welcoming speech, the Rector of University Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana said that when one observes the situation in the world, one understands the need for and the importance of the message of Prophet Muhammad.
“All Muslim believers were assigned a great responsibility to show in the most ideal, the best way the beauties of Islamic belief that Allah through His Messenger has taught us.”-said Mr. Gjana.
The Chairman of the Muslim Community, Mr. Skender Bruçaj, in his speech stressed that words genuflect while speaking of Prophet Muhammad and that it is he who taught us how a good Muslim should be.
“Words genuflect when speaking about the last Prophet Hz. Muhammad, but there is nothing more beautiful to refer to than the Holy Qur'an, where the Creator of the universe says concerning him that he came as a mercy to the worlds. We learned from him how to be a good Muslim. We learned that a good Muslim is he that takes care about his family, the poor, orphans and that is an example to all people and knows the relationship one should have with the Creator of the Universe, "said Chairman Bruçaj.
Also, Dedebaba of Bektashi Mr. Edmond Brahimaj highly praised the figure of Prophet Muhammad pbuh and mentioned some illustrative examples of prophetic history.
The event progressed with the development of other topics by the panelists being invited, mentioning: "Muhammad pbuh as a symbol of compassion and mercy" by Mr. Elvis Naci; "The precepts of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh on seeking knowledge "by Mr. Sabaudin Jashari; "Muhammad pbuh, an example to be followed "by Mr. Muhamed Sytari.
