Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tidita Abdurrahmani graduated in 2003 in English and American Studies, University of Shkodra, and received her Doctor of Philosophy title in British and American Cultural Studies, Karl Franzens University of Graz/Austria in 2011. For 8 years, Ms .Abdurrahmani lectured sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and text analysis, didactics and teaching methodologies at the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi". From 2010 up to 2013 she has been involved in educational management and educational leadership as executive director of the Institute of Educational Development, an institute subsidiary to the Ministry of Education and Science During these years Ms. Abdurrahmani, has also been lecturing as a part time lecturer by the State University of Tirana, Aleksandër Moisiu University Durrës, New York University ect. From November 2014 and on she has been holding the position of full time lecturer and research coordinator by Shkolla e Lartë Hëna e Plotë Bedër, and starting from September 2013 and on she is Head of the Department of Education Sciences. Ms.Abdurrahmani received her Assoc.Prof. title from the University of Tirana in December 2014.
Ms. Abdurrahmani has been involved in executing socio-cultural and educational research for more than a decade. She has produced several research articles on such issues as curriculum design and assessment, educational reforms, curriculum and cultural orientation, psycholinguistics and child development, sociolinguistics and dealing with children of culturally heterogenous background. Her research interests, publications and contributions lie in the field of Educational Sciences, British and American Literature and Cultural Studies.Working with both the governmental and the non-governmental sector most of her career, she gained expertise in project management, team leading and group facilitation. She is also involved in carrying out studies and seminars on media literacy, inclusive education, and pre-service and in-service training.
