Objectives This course will help students understand the basic concepts of curriculum, will learn how to develop a curriculum and plan lessons and will learn different teaching strategies, methods and techniques can be used in class

1Theoretical knowledge about how learning occurs, how students construct knowledge, and how students develop habits of mind
2Differences in the ways students learn and perform, watching Rain-Man movie
3Theoretical foundations of human motivation and behavior
4Major cognitive strategies associated with student learning
5Techniques for planning instruction, including addressing curriculum goals, selecting content topics, and incorporating learning theory, subject matter, curriculum requirements, and student development and interests
6Major categories, advantages, and appropriate uses of instructional strategies
7Techniques for creating effective bridges between curriculum goals and students’ experiences
