The Bachelor Program in Counseling Psychology and Pedagogy is designed to offer students applied intellectual and professional formation in the fields of counseling psychology and pedagogy. Special in its own kind ,among the study programs offered by the institutions of higher education in Albania, the program equips students with theoretical and critical knowledge in the fields of psychology, sociology and pedagogy, thereby enabling them to apply the principles of clinical and counseling psychology to diagnose and treat behavioral and conduct problems in the individuals and creating the opportunity for students to become dignified contributors to the psychological service offered in the Albanian schools.
With a contemporary curriculum, infrastructure and teaching methodology, the program is a novelty in terms of the student's skill enhancement and preparation by providing a successful interweaving of the academic and professional formation in the fields of psychology and pedagogy.

Program Objectives
Among the main objectives of the program we can mention equipping students with knowledge, skills and experience in different directions of the discipline of psychology and pedagogy including human development, social psychology, pedagogy, and counseling. The program also ensures equipping students with tailored professional skills, with an overall civic education, with basic skills for research, with an overall capacity for practical and applied research, and with the skills needed for their personal promotion and self-fulfillment. This program is built in such a way as to encourage students to critically evaluate the current analytical and complex issues through the exploration of the science of behavior and of the human mind.
The program aims to achieve the highest levels of academic knowledge, competence and applied knowledge by the students enabling them to adapt to the demands of the labor market, to feel fulfilled personally and professionally, and educated as worthy citizens in a global and dynamic society. The program aims to prepare counseling psychologists and specialists in pedagogy who have basic knowledge and skills on aspects of social development, emotional, mental and cognitive development as well as on the pathologies of the human mind, the principles of guidance and counseling.

By completion of their studies students will
Ø Possess a capacity to engage in independent research, in managment and evaluation of scientific research to improve the personal and social welfare based on the pedagogical and educational practices.
Ø Possess psychological and pedagogical perspectives that contribute to the personal and social well being of individuals and groups, and get successfully involved in the promotion of skills and capacities for personal development and educational progress.
Ø Possess modern psychological and pedagogical perspectives contributing to the playing of a leading role in the dissemination of knowledge through teaching and training practices and through the provision of psychological and counseling services.
Recruitment opportunities
Upon completion of the studies by the Department of Education Sciences, Bachelor Program in Counselling Psychology and Pedagogy, graduates:
-Can be recruited as counseling psychologists, school psychologists, and psychological service experts in public and private institutions, in health centers and in hospitalizing centers on a national and international level.
-Can offer specialized psychological service in rehabilitation centers for persons with disabilities
-Can be involved in lecturing in the psychology and pedagogy profile in preuniversity education institutions or both in lecturing and scholarly research in the Higher Education Institutions, (for the latter only after having completed the second cycle of studies).
